The Guilt of Children with Diabetes Foundation
News: High school seniors or college students with type 1 diabetes who have been a patient at the Barbara Davis Center for the past 12 months are invited to apply for the Charlotte Tucker Scholarship.
Grant applications of $4,000 will be accepted through January 18.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, taking into account other aspects. Each high school student applicant must have at least a 2.0 point average and plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational or professional school. College undergraduates who apply must take a minimum of 12 credit hours, or equivalent hours, per semester.
In addition, recipients must commit to providing eight hours of volunteer service to the Children’s Diabetes Foundation by the end of the Spring 2023 semester.
Details, including application forms, are available here.
About the organization: The Children’s Diabetes Foundation was founded in 1977 by Barbara and the late Marvin Davis after their daughter, Dana, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It is the fundraising arm of the Barbara Davis Diabetes Center at Anschutz Medical Center, where type 1 diabetes patients from around the world receive the best diabetes care available.
