Local News: A well-dressed tree is a ‘must’ for Christmas (12/4/21)

Moments turn into memories, and for Luke Courtney and his mother Megan decorating the Christmas tree at the Monnet Historical Museum with other members of his class at Monnet’s Little Wonder School, they may one day become a cherished reflection. Luke and his classmates have made five decorations to decorate the tree this holiday season, which will be on display in the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. on Saturday. With a little advice from his professors, Hudson Jenkins put his own ornaments on the Christmas tree at the Monnet Historical Museum on Broadway. Each student in a four-year-old’s class at Small Wonders Preschool at First United Methodist Church made five decorations featuring angels, candy canes, gingerbread men, Santa hats, and wreaths, to continue the tradition, which is in its fifth year. For the students of Little Wonder Nursery, who arrived early Monday morning to decorate the Christmas tree at the Monnet Historical Museum for the holiday season.
