Kevin Glasheen donates $500k to TTU School of Law, creates endowment scholarship

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD/NEWS RELEASE) – Attorney Kevin Glashin has donated $500,000 to create the Kevin Glashen Scholarship, making Glasheen award for life $1 million.

The donation was made to Jack Wade Nowlin, Dean of the Law School on November 23, 2021.

The Kevin Glasheen Endowed Scholarship will be among the largest in law school history and will be awarded to law students from the West Texas area who have demonstrated a need for financial support.

“This scholarship will greatly enhance the opportunities we can offer students from West Texas,” Nowlin said. “We are so grateful for Kevin’s generosity and commitment to making a positive change in the lives of our students.”

Glasheen opened his law firm immediately after law school and began dealing with personal injury cases. This early success gave him the opportunity to work on many other important issues, and he was a principal advisor on several multi-million dollar civil cases. He now has over 30 years of experience and is a Principal Partner at Glasheen, Valles & Inderman LLP.

By creating this scholarship, Glasheen has provided more than $1 million in support of various law school initiatives over the years, including a gift for the Tim Cole Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded to law students whose interest in justice and public service will best honor the memory of Cole, a former Texas tech student who died in 1999 in state prison for a crime he did not commit and was later acquitted posthumously.
