€20,000 scholarship award for Luke

A former good counselor student has been awarded a scholarship of €20,000 to pursue a degree in engineering.

uke Kehoe has been awarded the Naughton Foundation Scholarship Award. There is one guaranteed scholarship (€20,000) per participating county, with some counties awarding more than one scholarship.

Each scholarship is worth 5,000 Euros per year for each year of the Bachelor’s degree the student is studying for a period of three or four years.

Traditionally, awards are presented by Dr. Martin Naughton and his wife Carmel in a ceremony attended by students’ schools and families, but as a result of current restrictions this event has unfortunately been postponed again for this year.

A former student at Good Counsell College, Luke accepted a place at University College Dublin, to study engineering. Luke joins 37 exceptional Irish students who have been awarded Tier 3 scholarships for their studies in the fields of engineering, science, technology and mathematics.

The Good Counsel College, New Ross, Wexford, received an award of €1,000 for their school’s science facilities, for their support of Luke.

The Naughton Foundation continues to support a number of programs. Full details about the Naughton Foundation Scholarships are available at

The 2022 application form is available for completion on the Foundation’s website as of February 2022.
