Community for Life Foundation designed to help San Antonio students be successful

San Antonio The Community for Life Foundation is a non-profit organization that educates, enriches and empowers individuals.

Philanthropy helps local students pass school and during the season of giving. The Foundation’s CEO, Dr. Lawrence Scott, joined Leading SA on Friday morning to discuss their mission.

“We want to help today’s learners become the leaders of tomorrow. So we have provided over $700,000 to more than 327 recipients.” “We have over 25,000 in our Give Thanks initiative. We send out sponsorship packages (and) offer tutorials, and annual college readiness sessions.”

“And many of our scholarship recipients have become doctors, lawyers, teachers, administrators, CEOs, entrepreneurs, workers, and women, all based on God-given potential for help from people like our San Antonio community.”

There are opportunities for students to apply and for volunteers to help.

Scott said people can visit for information about scholarships, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities. The Foundation offers scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students.

“We average about $45,000 a year in scholarships. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000. So we’re trying to partner with more people.”

The foundation also holds a celebration in December. For more information on how to donate, click here.
