Collaboratory now accepting college scholarship applications

The Collaboratory Scholarship application process for the 2022-2023 academic year is now open until 5 p.m. January 12, 2022. More than $1 million in scholarship money is available through more than 100 scholarships for local high school students, adult learners, undergraduate, and graduate students from Charlotte County Collier, Gladys, Hendry, and Lee. Last year, one in four students who applied for a scholarship received a scholarship from the foundation.

“We have scholarships specifically for adult learners, drop-off students, and single mothers, many of whom are school dropouts just a few credits away to earn a degree,” said Collaboratory Scholarship Chair Malina Mott. “Many of these scholarships go for free every year because no one is applying for them. We want to encourage everyone to apply. No matter what your status is, we have a scholarship for you.”

All cooperative scholarships require the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form available at Educators, mentors, parents, and students can find resources for completing the FAFSA through the local FAFSA-first website recently launched by the FutureMakers Alliance at
